We arrived in Toronto two minutes early, but we had to wait for luggage which meant we missed the UP Express and had to wait for the one that left the airport at 2:25 PM.
When we got to Union Station in Downtown Toronto, there were a lot of Blue Jays fans heading to the game.
We walked to our hotel to leave our luggage since it was already after the check-in time of 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, this means we cannot explore the Union Station food scene. I had planned to have lunch at Sansotei Ramen there.
After leaving our luggage, we decided to walk to St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica for the 5:00 PM Mass. Along Queen Street, there are a lot of sights to see. By 4:10 PM, we ended up at CF Toronto Eaton Centre and boy, was it big. It's bigger than the other CF malls we've been to (CF Pacific in Vancouver and Richmond Centre in Richmond). The food court is also more extensive, and it's packed! I feel like I'm back in the Philippines, specifically the SM food court. Trying to find a seat was a challenge.
Looking around, I spotted Sansotei Ramen. It's meant to be!
Tonkotsu Black Chashu, black fungus, egg, green onion, and garlic oil |
Miso Black Chashu, spicy kakuni, egg, shiitake, and garlic oil |
Zangi Hokkaido-style fried chicken |
The ramen is delicious. The warm broth is comforting after walking around outside.
