After an afternoon in Blenz and before walking home, we decided to grab dinner at the relatively newly opened Mangia's Sandwiches. I got the Italian Deli and Roast Beef, both made "classic," which means they come with provolone, dressed lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and mayo.
The starting point of every sandwich at Mangia's is the bakery-fresh white baguette with its crusty exterior and soft, airy interior. As you take each bite, your palate encounters the crisp freshness of dressed lettuce, providing a satisfying crunch, while ripe tomatoes burst with juicy sweetness, adding a refreshing contrast. Thinly sliced onions contribute a subtle sharpness, enhancing the overall flavour profile. The creamy richness of mayo binds the layers, offering a velvety texture. Lastly, with its creamy and slightly tangy notes, the provolone blankets the meats, melting and marrying the flavours together.
The Roast Beef offers a rich, savoury flavour complemented by the enticing aroma of the other topping.

But both hubby and I agreed that Italian Deli is the way to go. The mortadella brings a luxurious and mildly spiced flavour, while the Genoa salami adds a savoury and robust profile, creating a perfect balance.

I can't wait to come back and try their other meat.
