Happy Friday! I invited my youngest sister, a bright 21-year-old who works part-time at Eggspectation, to spend a couple hours with me downtown. My goal? To give her a glimpse into the world of professional offices and spark a fire for her future career aspirations.
After a productive morning tackling emails, I decided to take a well-deserved break. The delightful Bisou Bake House is conveniently located in the lobby of nearby Telus Gardens. This haven of delicious pastries was the perfect spot for a sugary pick-me-up and some quality sisterly time.
Bisou Bake House boasts a tempting array of pastries, and with my husband joining us for this sweet interlude, we opted to share a selection. My sister gravitated towards the Nutella Folded.

Meanwhile, my husband and I decided to split the Spiral Croissant. The flaky buttery base formed the foundation for this masterpiece. Half dipped in rich chocolate and sprinkled with crushed pistachios, the croissant offered a delightful textural contrast – the crispness of the chocolate and pistachios against the soft, flaky pastry. The hidden treasure within was a decadent Nutella filling, adding another layer of deliciousness to every bite.

While enjoying our pastries, I took the opportunity to show my sister around the break room and other common areas of the office. It was a chance for her to experience the collaborative and dynamic environment many professional settings offer. Hopefully, this glimpse into the world of work will inspire her to dream big and pursue a career path that excites and fulfills her.
